When six hundred people dance to one artist’s music for six consecutive hours, it stands as a true testament of the power of that artist’s music, and in this case, a strong symbol of Michael Jackson’s unrivaled legacy. At 5am, a full club of partygoers stood facing the deejay booth holding lighters and blackberries in the air, singing the chorus to “We Are The World” and “Man In The Mirror” in unison. To say the moment sent shivers down my spine would be an understatement. I’m grateful to Andre Harrell and Richie Akiva for hosting this annual celebration with me, and Jay-Z, Beyonce, Naomi Campbell, Maxwell, and the hundreds of other Michael fans who came to enjoy the magic.
